Campaign Builds Serious Momentum Going into Convention
FARMINGTON HILLS, MI- The Bernstein for Michigan campaign announced today that Richard Bernstein received the endorsements of the Grand Traverse, Manistee, Ottawa, and Roscommon County Democrats.
The Youth and Bangladeshi-American Democratic (BADC) Caucuses also announced their endorsements of Bernstein. BADC Chairman Nazmul Hassan (Shahin) cited the strength of Bernstein’s candidacy as the reason for the endorsement, saying, "The BADC leadership strongly believes that Bernstein has the experience, the credentials, and the agenda to run a successful campaign and win against the Republican candidate."
Royal Oak Mayor Jim Ellison and Detroit City Council President Pro Tempore Gary Brown endorsed Bernstein as well.
Bernstein said, "I’m thrilled to receive the endorsement of the Grand Traverse, Manistee, Ottawa, and Roscommon County Democrats as well as the Youth and Bangladeshi-American Caucuses along with Mayor Ellison and President Pro Tempore Gary Brown. I look forward to their support this weekend and know that together with our grassroots supporters from across the state we can win the endorsement of the Democratic Party and return the Office of the Attorney General to the people of Michigan."
These endorsements from counties, caucuses, and elected leaders shows Bernstein’s considerable statewide appeal heading into the convention.
