Bernstein Campaign Organizing Citizens for Health Care Reform While Motivating Delegates to Attend Michigan Democratic Party Convention This Weekend
FARMINGTON HILLS, MI- Today the Bernstein for Michigan campaign delivered about 1,000 petitions to the office of Attorney General Mike Cox urging him to drop his lawsuit against the historic healthcare reform law signed into law by President Obama.
The petition encouraged Cox to drop the lawsuit after a careful review of the U.S. Constitution and long-standing Constitutional precedents found there to be no legal basis to join the Florida lawsuit.
Bernstein's campaign is also organizing to win the Michigan Democratic Party early endorsement convention this Saturday, April 17th, at Cobo Hall in Detroit. Bernstein said, "My healthcare petiton is just one example of how, as Attorney General, I will fight for the issues that matter to Michigan's working families. We are taking that same fighting and winning spirit to the Michigan Democratic Party endorsement convention this weekend with the momentum to win."
Citizens can sign the petition here. Michigan Democratic Party members can also visit the website for information for the party convention schedule.
